Loctite 567 Thread Sealant - 50g

High-Performance Thread Sealant

₹750.00

LOCTITE 567 is a white, one-part, high-viscosity anaerobic thread sealant designed for sealing and locking tapered metal pipe threads and fittings. It is particularly suitable for coarse threads and stainless-steel fittings, where its high lubricating properties help prevent galling and make assembly easier.

LOCTITE 567 cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air. It provides an immediate low-pressure seal and helps prevent leakage and loosening caused by vibration and shock. Its low-strength formulation also facilitates subsequent disassembly when maintenance is required.

Other compatible metal pipe threads

It is particularly useful where stainless-steel fittings may be susceptible to galling during assembly.

How LOCTITE 567 Works

LOCTITE 567 is an anaerobic sealant. When applied to a threaded metal connection, the material remains liquid while exposed to air. Once the threads are assembled and the product is confined between close-fitting metal surfaces, exposure to oxygen is reduced and the sealant cures.

The cured material fills the microscopic gaps between mating threads, helping create a reliable seal while also resisting loosening caused by vibration and mechanical shock.

Application Method

Clean the threads: Remove dirt, oil and other contaminants. Henkel recommends suitable LOCTITE cleaners/degreasers for surface preparation.

Apply the sealant: Apply a continuous 360° band beginning approximately one to two threads from the leading edge, covering at least three thread roots.

Assemble the fitting: Assemble the threaded components to the required position.

Allow to cure: The sealant cures between the assembled metal surfaces. For passive metals such as stainless steel or aluminium, or at low temperatures, an appropriate activator may be used to accelerate curing.

Check the connection: Verify that the assembly is properly sealed before placing the system into service.
